We are proud to be called “the tightest loose band you’re ever gonna hear.” Five Southwest Ohio music veterans formed Heavy Juice around a passion for the Chicago grooves of Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Junior Wells and other urban blues masters. Shouting, emotion-rich vocals and triple-threat soloing--blues harp, keyboard and guitar, including nasty South Side slide! The band name Heavy Juice comes from a 1953 King Records instrumental that we turn into a jumping showpiece. In Chicago tradition, we dabble in organ trio jazz, classic Rhythm & Blues, and late-night West Coast cool. But most of all get ready for swinging shuffles, fun rhumbas, infectious boogies and slow, torchy ballads straight from the 1950s and 60s Windy City.
